In my previous post I had explained how selecting an autoresponder is not an easy decision and can often costs hundreds of dollars per month. I had concluded with a statement about Profollow . This post has my chat transcript with the Profollow people. This might be a good solution for those looking for a low cost autoresponder to start with.

Srini: Are you guys an Aweber reseller? How is profollow different than Awerber then? Do I get access to all the tracking and analytics features in aweber or is that different in profollow?

Srini: Hi Erin

Erin Carney: Profollow is one of Aweber's private labels

Erin Carney: They are essentially the exact same services except Profollow does not offer the analytics features

Srini: In other words, profollow has a separate backend system for creating and managing campaigns, lists and AR's but uses aweber for delivering messages. Am I getting this right?

Erin Carney: Yes

Srini: Are your backend list creation and management features comparable to Aweber

Srini: ?

Erin Carney: Yes

Erin Carney: Everything is pretty much the same

Erin Carney: Except for the analytics tracking

Srini: Oh OK. One last question. If I wanted to move from profollow to aweber in the future, would all my subscribers need to re-opt-in to the list?

Erin Carney: No, but typically there would be no reason to do this.

Erin Carney: Because, again, they are the same service

Erin Carney: Profollow is just a subsidiary, or private label, of the AWeber company

Srini: The only reason I am asking is because, say in the future, I did want the analytics features, I would need to move to aweber, right?

Erin Carney: If you want analytics, I would suggest signing up directly with AWeber

Srini: I can't afford them now, but once I have a sizeable list and start making money with my list, I will be a lot more eager to have the analytics features.

Erin Carney: Did you have any other questions I can help you with?

Erin Carney: Ok

Erin Carney: That's fine.

Srini: I am sort of confused about how the move from profollow to aweber may happen. Is that straightforward?

Erin Carney: Yes, just contact us and we could do that for you.

Srini: Oh OK, I think I might just go with you guys. Sounds like a good deal for starters. Thanks
